Tech Bootcamp Scams, DON’T GET TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF
If you are new on your QA journey or the tech space is general, there is a good chance you heard about Bootcamps. Bootcamps are sold as the fast way to jumpstart your career, some even promising to land you in a big tech company in just a few months. However, some people are going into major debt to go to certain Bootcamps, and still end up unemployed. I have personally had people reach out to me to tell me about some of their bad Bootcamp experiences.
First off, I do not have problems with real Bootcamps. Bootcamps can actually be very beneficial. Bootcamps can teach valuable information in a condensed period. Many can help you switch careers without having to go back to college and get a degree. Bootcamps can also give you guided learning as well as networking to help you one day get a job. Once again, I am not against Bootcamps, I am just against Bootcamps that try to take advantage of people.
